About Me
I have been a teacher at Clague since 2002 and I love teaching here. I have experience in teaching all of the middle school grade levels but for the past several years, I have taught only 6th grade, English Language Arts. One thing many people do not know about me is that teaching is my second career. I used to work in the Information Technology field as an Applications Developer. Although I enjoyed that career, I really wanted to teach. In 2001, I quit my job and attended the ELMAC program at the University of Michigan. It was there that I earned a Masters degree in Elementary Education and a teaching certificate with middle school endorsements in Language Arts and Social Studies.
I am married to Mr. Donnelly, (the 7th grade ELA teacher) and I have two children. My son attends the University of Michigan and my daughter is a student at Skyline.
In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, reading and playing with my dog, Mango.
